Jill Waage is the Cheif of Content for Traditional Home, the country’s largest upscale design publication. With editorial offices in Des Moines, IA, and New York City, Waage and her team expertly create fresh content that captures the union of timeless design with modern living—inspiring more than 4.6 million design lovers to reinterpret classic elegance in a thoroughly personal way. In each issue and online, her team covers trends in home design and lifestyle influences, and showcases the nation’s most innovative designers, architects, and products.

Previously, Waage served as the Brand Executive Editor for Better Homes & Gardens where she led the relationship between Better Homes & Gardens, bhg.com, the Special Interest Publications, and Brand Licensing to develop key content and identify brand-wide strategies. In Jill’s many years at Meredith, her leadership roles have included Editorial Director of Home Content for Better Homes & Gardens where she oversaw cross-platform content creation, video creation, and sponsored projects; Executive Editor/Home for Special Interest Media; and Senior Editor of several home design magazines. Passionate about consumer research, she leads an annual BHG study on homeowner preferences that she presents at the International Builder’s Show. She has been quoted in stories on home industry trends in national media outlets including The Wall Street Journal, MarketWatch, Washington Post, and CNN.

Jill is a graduate of Drake University School of Journalism and Mass Communication, where she studied magazine journalism and interior design.
