President and CEO, Partnership for a Healthier America
Larry Soler is President and CEO of the Partnership for a Healthier America (PHA), which works with the private sector and First Lady Michelle Obama to reverse the childhood obesity epidemic. Since 2010, PHA has garnered commitments from more than 225 organizations to offer healthier options or increase physical activity with leading brands. PHA also operates marketing campaigns promoting water (Drink Up) and fruits and vegetables (FNV) with fresh advertising that is popular with kids and families.
Prior to joining PHA, Mr. Soler was Chief Operating Officer for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, a $200 million voluntary health organization. While leading JDRF, the organization was recognized by National Journal as one of the most powerful interest groups in Washington DC. Mr. Soler received a B.A. with honors from Clark University and his J.D. from George Washington University. He serves on the Board of Directors of the JDRF.
